Ten Reasons You Know You Will Succeed

Posted by: Kari Kelvie | January 2, 2016

Happy New Year!!!  It’s 2016 and a great time to think about the year ahead.  What are your goals and aspirations for this year?  What can you do this year to make more significant progress to achieve your goals?  How can you know you will be able to achieve your goals this time?  Here are ten reasons you can know you will succeed.

1)      You have a goal, dream, or aspiration.

2)      You have belief that it is achievable and that you are worthy of achieving it.

3)      You have a plan to achieve it.

4)      You will perform the actions according to your plan, adapt as necessary, and routinely assess progress along the way.

5)      You have the foresight to know that you will encounter roadblocks, challenges, obstacles, doubts, and fears but you have a plan on how you will get through those tough times.

6)      You have the confidence and patience to allow your actions to lead you in the right direction as you begin to see the momentum of your progress.  You know to look for signs, opportunities, and connections and you explore those opportunities with vigor.

7)      You understand that having a goal and not giving up is success in itself.  You know that the enjoyment of the adventure lies in the journey.  You get excited when you think about how much you will learn about yourself in the process.

8)      You are able to visualize waking up one day and your goal, dream, or aspiration is realized.

9)      You know that success builds confidence.  With increased confidence, you know you will be able to dream bigger and aspire greater.

10)   You smile, and can’t wait to begin the journey.

When you think back on the prior year, which of the reasons needed improvement and thus contributed to not reaching your goal?  When you can identify the reasons you did not reach your goal, you can make improvements and avoid the same pitfalls next time.  We stumble on some of these steps which steers us off course.  Many times, we don’t regain traction and we give up altogether.  Some of us even give up on having goals and dreams because they don’t seem achievable and we have failed too many times.  This can lead to a life that feels unfulfilling on a deeper level.  When we don’t have ambitions we tend to compensate by filling our lives with distractions and excuses to attempt to fill a void we have inside.  If you are seeking a deeper fulfillment and purpose for your life, these reasons you can succeed in accomplishing your own goals, dreams, or aspirations are worthy of your best efforts.   My next posts will be exploring each of these reasons in more detail and how you can better incorporate them into your life to achieve what you desire.  I hope you join me in this adventure!  May 2016 be your best year yet!
