Live To Imagine

When Imagination Strikes

Our imaginations are very personal and are stimulated in so many different ways.  For me, my imagination is most active early in the morning when I don’t have any distractions or listening to music I enjoy.  Sometimes my imagination strikes me spontaneously like when I am driving or running.  I have pulled out notecards or sent myself texts at red lights to document the ideas that come to me.  I’m often amazed how those creative spurts or sudden answers about something I’ve contemplated come unannounced when I least expect it.  When is your imagination most active?  What things do you do to respond to your imagination when it suddenly strikes leaving you with those brilliant ideas or answers?  If anything, we should capture those ideas or answers even if we need to put them aside to contemplate later.  Obviously we don’t pursue every new idea that comes into our minds, but it is helpful to pay attention to them.  There could be a common underlying theme that is trying to make itself known to you.  Those consistent and sometimes persistent notions in a certain direction are just awaiting your action, no matter how small, to reveal to you an outlet for which you are a perfect match.
